The Y29A detects liquid presence from outside a non-metallic container using capacitive sensing. External mounting keeps the sensor out of direct contact with the liquid, while sensitivity calibration helps adapt it to the installation.
Choose V high/low-level output, NPN normally open or normally closed output, or PNP normally open or normally closed output. All five listed configurations use a DC 12-24V supply. The two NC options specify a 1 m cable without a connector; the general specification lists a 500 mm cable for the other options.
The supplier describes compensation for liquid residue and foam on the container wall. Detection still depends on the liquid, wall material, thickness and installation. Validate performance with the actual container and fluid before use.
Match the output circuit and voltage to the receiving controller. The V version provides a signal output and should not directly drive relay coils or PLC loads. Connector inclusion for the V and NO options is not confirmed; photographs illustrate the product family.
